Tesco is to run in-store TV adverts telling shoppers to drink alcohol responsibly over Christmas, in the latest sign of the pressure retailers are coming under from the government to tackle binge drinking.
The move follows a ban on pubs promoting cut-price "happy hours" last year and talks under way with alcohol producers about introducing health warnings on alcoholic drinks.
Maybe its just Daventry being the Birmingham Slum clearance area, possible town with a forthcoming land locked marina and monorail to look forward to, we need to drink more to block out the perfect world, Tescos not wanting to harm their profit margin need to make sure we are however feeling well enough, with the aid of liquid Nurofen to get back to the store to purchase more half price beer!
